Often, over the phone, the name "Jen" is mis-heard. I try to be careful how I pronounce it, but I must say it too fast. I've been called Jim, Jan, Janet, Jane, Jeanine, and probably a couple more I am forgetting. I sometimes have to spell it, "J-E-N, as in Jennifer".
Recently I've had to make some calls to a school secretary named Lois. Somehow, Lois got it in her head that my name is GINGER. Even though she has heard my voicemail and even met me in person. I've tried to emphasize my name when I speak to her, but I haven't outright corrected her yet. Mostly because it makes me laugh to get messages for Ginger. It's kind of glam.

Yeah, that happens to me sometimes, too, except I'm "Jo" or "Julie" when it's misheard & "Jim" when I write it too fast & the two cursive Ls just turn into little bumps.
Ginger is much sexier though! You're just the glammest thing on the island, you know! :)
Yeah, it's way better than Judy, which is what I usually get.
A Jen at work always uses Jennifer because Jen always comes across as Jim.
I usually get "Deb", and so I do often use my full name at work.
