Looks like Howie Mandel is going to be busy...

Rumor has it that Studio 60 is being canceled: 'Studio 60’ Cancellation Iminent
Which makes me a little sad-because I really do like Matthew Perry. I think he is very funny, and he has proven to me that he can be subtle and not just Chandler Bing. Whereas I often feel that Jennifer Anniston is just playing Rachel over and over again, even though she seems to have a successful movie career. She just picks movies that need a Rachel.
For the most part, I agree with the article there- I am sure that Aaron Sorkin is going to proclaim us all idiot dolts and NBC will probably fill the air time with more Let's Make a Deal or 1 against 100 or something cheap to make that requires no actual talent or artform. But I disagree that it is the premise that is the problem. It's not the premise (though they do take themselves a wee too seriously) I think that could have worked- people are getting tired of cops & doctors. It's the acting (of certain characters), the mis-matched love intrests, the self-importance, the lack of actual comedy sketches, and the "let-me-beat-you-over-the-head-with-this-2x4" writing style that are the problems. I don't know why these people don't call me for advice.

Aw, bummer. I only caught a couple of shows, but I thought they were better than a lot of the dreck that's out there!

Thanks for the head's up!

I'm still holding out some hope for "Justice" which was on the block and is now seemingly off of it. But, yeah, another lawyer show, another show in which the dialogue is exposition. Don't they know that all I want is to watch Victor Garber make facial expressions? And sing. There seems to be little likelihood that he's going to sing.

Oh, so off-topic.
