Toddler laws of Motion

The Third Toddler law of Motion: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
I've come to the conclusion that with Attila in the house there are no steps forward, only lateral moves. For example, if I want to put away groceries, I might give Attila a snack, which means cheerios get spilled all over. If I load the dishwasher, the tupperware cabinet is being emptied. If I fold and put away laundry, then she is pulling out books and toys in her room. In order to clean up one mess, another must be made. If something is being cleaned, something else is getting dirty. If work must be done, other work must be undone. If the toddler law is not followed, the universe will implode.

You know, you have successfully summed up a basic truth here. I knew this instinctively, but here - here you manage to put it into words. I will refer Mr. Kluges to the Toddler Law the next time I try to explain how much/little I got done in a day.

This is hilarious. If everyone I knew with kids wasn't already reading your blog, I'd totally be sending them the link to this post. :-)

I totally agree! I used to say that I'd wish the kids would finish one room before they started on another.

It seems like it's neverending!!
