Somehow (most likely due to toddler error) a whole folder of my online bookmarks disappeared. Deleted or something. Just gone. It's like it never existed on my computer. Which folder was it? The "shopping" folder. I am so upset about it I could spit. My shopping folder is gone! *real tears* There were around 5o- 100 or so cool marks in there. Some places I had previously shopped from. Other places I just like to have marked so that I am able to visit my favorite but too expensive/impractical/impossibly large items. Some were ideas for gifts. Some were things I was going to buy for myself someday. Some were for research or comparisons or freebies or good deals. It was detailed and useful. But now it's gone -all gone. I know I should look at it as a clean slate. A chance to start fresh. New websites to find. New resources to discover. blah de blah. But I just can't - I am too worried that there was something important marked there that I am never going to remember and never find again. Perhaps I have an internets clutter problem. I'm an online pack rat.
Ah well, It's probably for the best. I've had a bit of an online shopping binge lately. It all started with the new bathroom rugs that I ordered because I had been looking for a specific kind, and I got free shipping. But the rugs didn't quite go with the old towels, so I had to go back and get new towels. (Yes, "had to"- otherwise I would have been slowly driven insane.) Then I got a new down coat on a winter clearance deal, and ordered some black pants too because a woman can never have too many pairs of those. Then I ordered one of my favorite books from my childhood (April's Kittens) that has been out of print and they are finally reprinting. Then it was some stuff from Oriental Trading company I had to order for school. Then it was an umbrella stroller, also on clearance. Then it was some baby shoes ($10 off code + free shipping -but those don't fit so I have to send them back.) And I think I have one more small package coming this week (25% off + $5 shipping). That's what? 8 things, in as many weeks.
So like I said, maybe this is for the best.

I know you'll recover from this, AKJ, but it does sound very painful. You're a shopping/bargain hunting goddess and many of us depend on you for your shopping all knowingness (when we do venture out to actually do real shopping -- my lack of skill is rather shameful).
Did you mark this down for that day in the future when you get to play "Here's how you made Mommy suffer" with Attila?
