Bridge Collapse

So far, I believe that no one I know was involved or even directly effected by the accident. Though I have heard a couple of very close call stories. Which is amazing. (and kind of hard to believe) Hopefully it will stay that way. As recently as 6 months ago, we used to drive the I-35 bridge every day, often multiple times in a day. It's very surreal that it's just gone.

Did you see the estimated re-build time frame? 2015-2023. OMG!
(And I thought the current construction by my house that will take until Fall of '08 to complete was a long ways off...) I really can't imagine how the traffic around here is going to cope for that long. Maybe they will come up with a light rail option or something that is faster to build.

Hope you and yours are all ok.

Isn't it freaky?! Man, that's what you expect from an earthquake in CA, not just because in MN!

I hadn't seen the rebuild time yet, but that's even longer than Mr. Kluges and I were thinking it'd be. And 35W is not some little po-dunk road - lots of traffic will be diverted to all kinds of other roads.

Glad it's not affecting my commute! :)

Yeah, I was thinking four years would be great. I knew that someone saying two years was aggressive. Its going to be 2 years just to know what happened.

Thanks Ms H! That does look yummy! I'm on it. (I even have brandy!)
We'll let you know if we give it a try. (and really, once I 'splain and tell them that I have brought all the ingredients, I am pretty sure it will be tried ;)
