Cooking

Attila has been doing a lot of "cooking" lately. She's got a little pots & pans set (to keep her out of the real pans) and she'll happily stir and bang them all together before offering to let us taste what she has made. She's recently discovered that she is now tall enough to reach the lowest pantry shelf too. So we'll occasionally see her walking around with a can of mushrooms. She usually pretends to drink out of it. (what? you don't do that?)
This morning, she is making something that involves pancake mix, mushrooms, green chilies, and whole wheat egg noodles. She keeps telling me that it's "hot". Doesn't that sound delish? I'll get the recipe for you.

Hmmm... sounds like a good inaugural recipe for Recipeeps...

*grin* When we get a REAL house, I've GOT to get Pumpkin a little kitchenette set.

Awww. Kids cooking is so cool. At least she got the hot part right with the green chilis.

Our children are at the same stage (just like we are with the C25K program! Shameless shout out to keep going, I'm just going into week 6.) Avery is constantly coming up to me with spoons of "food" for me to eat. And I had to put a lock on my pantry, otherwise everything would be on my kitchen floor in about 12 seconds flat!

Have you heard of the book "Kitchen Playdates"? Might want to check that out...
