I am just going go ahead and apologize now for the excessive use of quotes ahead.
Cashmere Mafia- Hated it. I like Lucy Liu, and I loved SATC, so I watched this show on Sun. to see if I would like it. At first it was ok- nothing great, and very soap-y, but then, it turns out that the character who has been "happily married for 15 years"- her husband is cheating on her. The rest of the "mafia" discover this and tell her about it. She says something like, "well I've suspected for awhile, but really it doesn't interfere with my life, and if that's how it has to be to make this marriage "work"- then I'll deal." The "friends" all nod understandingly and encourage her to change into a fabulous sexy dress to attend the benefit they are all going to. At the benefit she whispers to her husband that she "knows" and is going to have an affair with one of his friends (but he won't know with whom or when.) I am sure this is just a plot "development" so that the married one can have hot one night stands too, but c'mon.
- Now, if those women were my friends, they would not let me leave the room until I admitted that I deserved better than his sorry cheating ass. They would then offer all of the following; 1) a place to stay if I needed it 2) advice on kicking him out 3) the number of a good therapist and 4) a shovel, gloves, and a ride to where all the other bodies are buried. Of course, I'd do the same for them. Seriously.
- The woman with younger kids and the nanny troubles- now partly this is because we had lost interest- but we both kept saying "where is her husband? what does he do? why can't he take the kids?" Also, those kids looked big enough to be in Jr. High.
- There is ruthless and competitive and then there is bitchy cheater. There is a difference, and the writers on this show don't seem to get that. Lucy Liu was in a contest with her fiance to be promoted to VP or something. She won, but by cheating. It would have made her a way more interesting character if she had won fair and square, but then I suppose the finace wouldn't have broken up with her. Conveniently leaving her free for hot one night stands too.

As for bullet #1, not that I think you need to worry about it at all, 1) hell yes, 2) hell yes, 3) I'd help you look, 4) um... I think I'll leave myself some deniability with this one. *grin*
Ah yes, we all have people to help take care of that little problem. muh-ha-ha-ha
I had no idea what a "Cashmere Mafia" was, because I live in a pop culture vacuum, so I went to TWoP to read a recap so I would know what you were talking about. I couldn't make it past the second page, so I commend you for managing an entire episode.
