First night in the Big Girl Bed (BGB).
All that is in her new room is the bed and the dresser. The dresser is empty except for one drawer that she wanted to put some PJs in. So we put 3 pairs in there.
So far she has gotten up and changed pajamas 3 times.
We know she CAN sleep in a big bed (she's done it away from home a few times) and we know she is excited about her bed and her room (she was kissing the bed after we put it together) just not excited enough to go to sleep.

We put Avery in her BGB THE NIGHT Hadleigh came home. Yeah, good plan, "Hey, we brought home your baby sister, who is now going to steal half of the attention usually given to only you. That's not enough of a change, right? Okay, sleep in this bed with no bars. Is that enough?" She actually did remarkably well with only the first night being a bit painful. I wish for you the same luck!

On, I think she just might have been TOO excited to go to sleep. Why sleep in your new BGB when you can look at your bed... and take stuff out of your new dresser that you helped paint and put them on... and kiss your bed (hilarious, that!)... and think about the bed... and change pjs again from the exciting dresser... repeat, repeat, repeat until the Sandman finally comes. :)
