Back to life, back to reality

The holidays this year felt really long to me- not in a bad way, but in a lots of free time, lots of time off way. I am sure part of it was that they fell right before a weekend, and for us, the snowstorm helped us spend more time at home than we otherwise would have. It was nice, and I love having Dude around when he is not working. But I was/am ready for the holidays to be over with and to get back to our regularly scheduled program. So although I was a little sad about it coming to an end last night, today was a good productive day thanks to an afternoon playdate AND a napping at nap time baby.

Though I still have a ton of photos that I haven't downloaded off of my camera yet, and not quite all of the decorations are packed away yet, and not all of the new christmas toys are unpacked and found a new home yet, and I have food and containers that need to be sorted, and we have one last gathering to get to and blah di blah di blah. So maybe that's why it seems so long.

I accepted a new part-time gig directing a school play over the next 6 weeks, and that is going to take some extra work and adjustment and getting used to. So tomorrow we start a new and temporary schedule, but still, it's good to be back to "normal".

Clothes bought: 0 ;)
