Oh so Random

• Today, Spencer (age 9) informed me that he had "back surgery" yesterday so he wouldn't be able to participate much today. Two of the bones in his back had chipped, and they had to fix them. I gave him a blank look and said, "Really? Just yesterday? Because you look pretty good- you must heal fast..." And he said, "Yeah, I know, it's because I'm a kid."
• There is a brother/sister family that is also in the play and they always smell like spices and curry. They seriously smell so good! I think they must live in an Indian restaurant. It makes me want to eat them up.
• Our new sitter is working out really well. *knock on wood* She's a little older (read: $$) than I originally wanted, she is right out of college, but I think she is worth it. She is always on time (if not a little early), she doesn't drink the liquor, and Attila loves her. She can't WAIT for her to come over. Ghengis is not as easily impressed, but seems to do ok.
• Our street is going to be torn up all. summer. long. It's all so we can get curbs and some rainwater drainage thing... Here's hoping we can also get our driveway re-paved at contractor prices.
• I've been doing well on the "no clothes" thing - I did buy a hat for Attila. (it's Lightening the Queen of course...) but it was on clearance and she did need one. However, Target and Old Navy have both been taunting me with their clearance sales. Target had cute sweaters for $3-$4! And pants (in my size even!) for $9. Sigh. I also have gymbucks for gymboree that are burning a hole in my wallet. I can't use them, but if you can, let me know and it's yours. You don't have to be local, you can have the web code. (it's a coupon for $25 off of $50. I have 2.) I think they are good through the weekend.
