Black box it never gets dirty...

Look! I have boxes!

The ubiquitous set piece. My very own set! You know what that means don't you? It means that I can put on a show where ever and whenever I want to. Pretty cool huh? I built them for my school, of course, but I have to admit that I had some help (since I do not have a table saw). The best part was that two of the people I was building with also have theatre degrees, but no practical knowledge about construction/building. (thank you Tap Payne) Now admittedly, my knowledge is minimum, but truly, they were impressed that I own a sander and that I told them to paint *with* the grain, rather than against it. It didn't take much to dazzle them, and I loved that. It just played right into my allknowing-ness.
I am trying to convince the Dude that maybe we should just convert the former Jungle Room into our own personal black box theatre, but he doesn't seem to be going for it. He seems to think that an office would be more practical. Ha!

I dunno... I think The Dude might have to give in to your all-knowingness & let there be theatre. I mean, think of little Atilla... some kids get puppet theatres, but no, SHE needs a REAL one!

Oh, BTW, Brit's knocked up again... Maybe we can hope for more statuary. :)

Every time I go into that jungle room, it makes me think of that Ray Bradbury short story, "The Veldt." Freaks me out, man.

The thought that any number of your friends have secretly harboured a desire to write and produce their own one-person shows and that you having a theatre in your home that they could use for free would be the thing that would get them to finally get on the stick with it should pretty much send you straight to OfficeMax for rolling filing things and paper clips.
