Some friends of mine, (you know who you are) are gearing up for NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month. For some of them this will be the 3rd or 4th year they have participated and their 3rd or 4th novel they will be writing. I think my friends are brave and talented and it's very cool that they even attempt to write a novel in a month, let alone actually finish 50,000 words. Joining them is something I totally mean to get up the gumption to do someday. (Ha! Which is kind of the point of NaNoWriMo- to get rid of those "somedays"- and yet I persist in them. Procrastination at it's finest!) But I won't be writing the great American novel this year. No, this November, I will be blogging.
Some industrious bloggers, who probably were like me and felt left behind by their NaNoWriMo friends, have formed NaBloPoMo- National Blog Posting Month! Genius! I've been meaning to get in the habit of posting more often, and posting for something - I dunno- meaningful? worthwhile? entertaining? not just public messages to my friends? Do I have it in me? I have no clue, but maybe if I post everyday something good will develop. And it couldn't hurt. And there is no word count requirement. (Yay!) Baby steps, people, baby steps.

I bet you the 62 cents of Canadian money that my bank rejected from my change jar that if you blog every day, you hit at least 25K.
Very cool. I'll have to give that some thought, as I've been woefully remiss in posting myself.
Not a bad idea. I know I'm not up for NaNoWriMo this year either, but like you I intend to do it "someday." Besides, that's a great NaBloPoMo logo in your sidebar!
