It's been brought to my attention that sometimes I mention things here in my blog and then I never follow up with how things turned out. Really? Me? Not follow up? Yeah, that is a shocker.
Anyway, I looked back through some older posts and I thought I would do my best to update you on the things you may have been wondering about.
- I am working on a FAQ that will help explain exactly what a Bus of Love is.
- The Jungle Room. Progress has been made, it's not quite done yet, since Attila is not a very good painter, and she also doesn't know how to install carpet. (stupid babies!) I promise new photos very soon.
- The baby shoe scandal. I got my money back and so did everyone else. I did not press charges, but others did, and the woman plead guilty to a misdemeanor in Colorado. She paid a fine, served about 20 hours of community service and is on a 2 year probation. She quit the message board where it all went down.
- My predictions about Grey's Anatomy? ALL TRUE!!! Look here is what I wrote last May: "Some predictions about next season:
- the missing panties are going to turn up in an embarassing and inopportune moment (Check- they were on the bulletin board)
- I think either Addison or Meredith is going to get pregnant/have a pregnancy scare. (Check- they thought Mer was pregnant- nope just her appendix)
- We haven't seen the last of Izzy. Which is why she got to quit instead of just being fired and kicked out of the program. "(Check- Though, really, I can't say I am super proud of this one since it was so obvious)
- I never did try the Tilapia. I just don't like fish. And even though I said I was going to try it, I never did.
- The No Shampoo thing. Decided this was a very bad idea. I can not go that long without using actual soap in my hair. I like bubbles! Bubbles are good! I did try this stuff called No Poo, that is supposed to be shampoo without all the harsh chemicals that make the lather. It worked fine, but it's very heavily scented like roses- which I didn't like. So, if you like roses and want to try it, you are welcome to it. Seriously, I used it once, there is a whole bottle left. (I have the conditioner too.) Just speak up and it's yours.
- Camp Ojiketa- Some good news, some bad news. Looks like the current plan is for a city park for about 1/4 of the property and the rest is a proposed hotel/spa/ resort thing. (they want to keep the name Ojiketa). The dining hall would become part of the city park and become a "heritage center" that houses a history of the land and the camp. If you are interested, there is a map of the proposed development here. This is all tentative, since no money has changed hands yet, but it looks like it will go through in December. If this falls through, the land would be put on the market and there will surely be other developers that want it. So it looks like a city park is the best we are going to get. (There will be a beach and trails, but no camping.) Sigh.
- I did get the dryer guy to come out and fix the dryer. Turns out we had a bad heat sensor. I am not exactly sure what that part does, but the nice man replaced it and the dryer works again.
- My ALA list of banned books. I was going to start with this one: Women on Top: How Real Life Has Changed Women's Fantasies by Nancy Friday - Well I checked into it on Amazon, but the reviews indicated that it wasn't all that good, and also? it apparently includes women's fantasies about dogs- which, um, EW!, so I decided to pass.
- I have not eaten, or bought, any additional Jello. Though it was pointed out to me that I failed to count the pre-made jello cups that I have in the fridge. So add 6 little snack pack cups to the grand total.

5. Yeah, not a fish fan either, but I kept trying it in hopes that someday I will... and I've liked it about three times, so that's a start.
6. I was just thinking about that yesterday when sudsing up my locks myself.
7. No camping=sad, but beach and trails=good
