WWDD Day

Today is "Worldwide Dungeons and Dragons Day". Seriously. Yes, Worldwide. Not making that up. Couldn't if I tried.
So I suggested to the Dude that perhaps there is not enough hoopla surrounding this geek holiday. I thought perhaps there should be a parade, or a telethon, or fireworks. I don't really think that WWDD Day is worthy of presents, but surely it is good enough to compare to oh...St. Patrick's Day? People could dress up in character costumes and they could go out and drink Ale or Grog or what-have-you. In the parade, there would be floats built to resemble castles and dungeons and well, dragons. The truly devoted could send each other cards if they wanted:

"Wishing you beautiful moments, to share, to enjoy, and to remember.

Happy Worldwide Dungeons and Dragons Day."

Are you sure it's not Geeks of the World Unite Day? Oh, wait, same day.

Who knew? Now it's gone and it's too late...I spent yesterday walking outside in the sun with Pumpkin when I could have been teaching her about late nights, bad chips and coke. Oh well, guess I'd better put it on my calendar for next year.

For the records, I want to point out that Squee was referring to the carbonated beverage, not drugs...

Also, AKJ, I think there should be cards that say, "And may you never be hit in the head with a mace." Now THAT was an awesome costume! :)
