Well there's 3 hours of my life I will never get back

Since Attila is going to have a birthday soon, and I have photoshop, I was thinking, "Hey, I will just whip up a little photo invite so I can invite the fam over for some cake smashing and ice cream eating." Ha.
Then I stumbled into the dark dark world that is digital scrapbooking. Did you know you can "create fabulous page layouts that can enhance your photographs and memories without the time and mess involved in traditional scrapbooking."
Dude.
And a TON of the "papers" and kits and fonts are FREE! (FREE! -the most beautiful word ever)
For me, this turned into a giant black hole of web surfing. I have always admired scrapbooks, and how beautiful and organized and creative they can be- but I just didn't have the patience/ persistence for it. I know myself pretty well, and I just know I would start about 5 albums and then not finish any of them, leading to guilt instead of relaxing creative fun. Also, I have a tendency to leave unfinished projects on the dining table, which is already a problem since I currently have 4 unfinished armadillo hats sitting there. But this? This seems like it might be more my speed. Though it certainly wasn't any faster, but at least there is no mess. Of course, the jury is still out. I sent the invites in to be printed so I will see how that goes first.

Hey! There is absolutely nothing wrong with 5 unfinished scrapbooks.

Let me know how the digital scrapbooking goes, though.

Sounds fun and pretty and not-dining-room-table-cluttery, which is often a problem at our house, too.
