I've got friends in low places

Who do I love?
I love Kashka Z!
I got a voice mail earlier tonight that she had secured not one, not two, but FIVE (!) 12-packs of my beloved Black Cherry Vanilla Diet Coke. YAY!
and then, THEN when I called her back to say "thankyousoverymuchyourockandarethebestanddidIsaythankyou?"
She told me that she actually went and found five MORE! Can you believe it?!?
So much awesome thoughtfulness in one woman. (Plus I know she empathizes because she has that whole Diet Dr. Pepper thing herself)

The best part of the story is that she was out on a walk when she decided to check out the grocery store to see if they had any- and when they did, she knew she couldn't carry them all since she was walking. She debated having to go get her car but she worried that maybe in the 15 min. it would take for her to walk home and drive back, they would be all bought up. So then she thought asking the stock boy to hold them for her- but she didn't want to inadvertently start a mad rush or price gouging. It makes me laugh, because that is exactly how my mind would have worked in that situation. In the end, she got them all without inciting a riot.

That is 120 BCV Diet Cokes with my name on them. I am so giddy! I could have one a day for 4 months. Or one a week for 2 years. Oh the possibilities. You bet your sweet bippy I am going to ration them. But for now they are safe and secure in SD. Guess I will be making a road trip this summer after all...

This just in! Guess who else rocks? Pusher does! She also located a case of BCVDC for me and gave it to me on Saturday. Yay! I have some great friends. :) I mean seriously, if you don't have friends who would look for discontinued soda for you? I am not sure you can really call them "friends" haha ; )
I am currently drinking can #3... I am going to have to start rationing better, but I've already gone close to 3 weeks without it so it was hard to resist. Mmm... it's delicious!

this totally reminds me of the seinfeld episode when elaine is stock-piling sponges and has to deem whether the men she dates are "spongeworthy"

are you the only one in your house who enjoys this tasty beverage?

or are you going to have to make judgement calls on exactly how thirsty people really are? and if they will savor the drink down to the very last drop. and that they won't let the can/bottle sit around and get warm and flat and then throw it out.

this are real issues now.

Yay for Kashka! And Yay for your special, special beverage!

(And also, Yay for your funny quote!)

You're quite welcome, of course, AKJ. I reconnoitered the grocery store again last night and they'd put three 12-packs back on the shelf, so I'm going to go get those later today, since I think that's the extent of their remaining stock.

You know how I need a project.

Nejyerf- haha! totally reminds me of that Seinfeld! Luckily, the hubster doesn't really care for my BCV flavored soda so I don't have to worry about that, I can have it all to myself!
