Good News: All presents currently in my possession have been wrapped and labeled and are under the tree.
Bad News: I am still waiting on a shipment from Amazon to arrive and I have one last gift to figure out, track down and purchase. (plus, I feel like there is something or someone I am forgetting, so I am sure that will dawn on me soon as well.)
Good News: Attila is two! TWO!
Bad News: Attila is two. So very. very. two.
No, honestly, she is usually a sweetheart and a very happy, social, easy-going kind of girl. But just in the last week she's been pitching fits about having to lay down at naptime and bedtime. Crying, whining, telling us she needs a drink, a kleenex, a diaper change... She's tried pulling out all the tricks in the book. Luckily, I've read that one. Still, I hope this phase is a quick one.
Good News: We had monkey cake! Mmmm.... Monkey.
Bad news: Final construction of Monkey cake required 1.5 cans of frosting. The remaining half can of frosting mysteriously disappeared, and then showed up later on my ass. Gah.
Bad News: Your piece of cake has been pre-licked by the toddler. (that's why in this picture the cake is now half a table away from her)
Good News: ummm.... We have ice cream?

It was such a good monkey cake, even with the pre licking. And watching her reach out and grab a little finger full of frosting without even thinking was priceless.
Mmm... frosting is my weakness. That cake is adorable; good job on it!

Kitten has recently hit the twos, even though she's 2 1/2. We're waiting for it to be over.

Pre-licked cake is bad? Good to know, I just didn't tell anyone and served it anyway. Not at all serious of course,,, or am I? I loved the "so very, very two" comment,, actually laughed outloud on that one AS I CAN COMPLETELY RELATE! But even if she is goign through that stage, she's still ridiculously cute! The picture of her holding the balloons is just priceless!
