TURKEY!
DID YOU GET THE JELL-O?
No! I GOT PUDDING.
WELL GET TWO.
DO WE HAVE ANY PAPER TOWEL?
WHAT?
PAPER TOW-WELL, DO WE HAVE ANY?
NO! GET SOME!
The above is an actual transcript of my Target shopping experience this evening. Thanks to Jaimie and her mom, I know exactly what they were buying all throughout the store. It was so obnoxious. If you are going to shop together, stay in the same aisle, or make two lists- DO NOT have a conversation across multiple aisles. Good lord it was annoying. And if something annoys me? You know I am going to share. :P Actually, that's why I haven't posted very much lately- I've kind of had a bad attitude and there is only so much complaining that I figure people want to read. (or really, I want to share.)
I am not doing so well on my Target diet so far. I'm still averaging 3 times per month and I'd like to get it down to 1-2 times a month. Though some days, like today, it's a choice between shopping alone for an hour, or drinking a bottle of wine after Attila goes to bed. The wine would actually be more relaxing, but the shopping makes it easier to get up the next day.
I made my first Craigslist purchase today - I like the idea of CL, but I think that most of the stuff in my area is either over priced, too far away, or goes too quickly. Plus, I am not crazy about meeting people I don't know especially if I have Attila with me, so I am pretty cautious.
But there was a home daycare lady clearing out some of her outdoor toys, so we bought a trike thing from her. She wasn't scary at all- she was very nice.
For the gardeners: I ran across some Phlox seed things (it's like seeds in dirt...but in a bag) that I bought last year? maybe the year before? Can I still plant them? Will anything grow? What do you think? I must have forgotten that I bought them. Whoops!

I second you on the cranky thing. Must be an election year.
I should really start looking more on CL, but I have the same fears. I also should consider selling some stuff, but I don't like the idea of people coming to me either.
I love craig's list...
plant the phlox. make sure you put some seed starter fertilizer in with the seeds. You could plant them in a peat pots right now and then plant the peat pots when the ground warms up...
I like CL, too. I've both bought and sold some stuff, but not too much. I think my market here is a bit smaller, so I've got a better chance of getting things than you would in yours. On the other hand, I think you could sell things more easily on yours. And you could always arrange to meet in a public place like a mall to exchange stuff.
(Those shoppers would have driven me buggy!)
I say plant the phlox. They put expiration dates on seeds so they won't get blamed for seeds not growing 10 years later. Some of the seeds may have gone bad by now, but who knows if you don't plants them? I'm sure at least some of them will grow if given the proper treatment.
Complaining? Um, then maybe you want to stay away from my blog.... I tend to be a bit whiny sometimes, especially when it comes to getting snow when it's almost May. Those shoppers would seriously drive me crazy too.
