Things I want to know but have been unable to solve with my internet research;
1) The wooden spoon thingy that you use in honey- what is that called? The internet says it's just called a "honey dipper" - but I think there has to be a better/ more formal name. (My mom does too- this one is her fault and comes from her twisted mind)
2) New York Vanilla ice cream. Why is it called "New York" vanilla and not "Ohio" vanilla? Why is this flavor limited to only exist in relation to ice cream? There is no New York vanilla cake. Or New York vanilla syrup. (This one is all my own. I love New York Vanilla, but I can't find out how it came to be. )

I call it a honey twirler and the Internet supports that answer as well. I think that sounds fun. My search also found this, which just looks nummy. http://www.amazon.com/Laura-Mercier-Body-Bath-Vanilla/dp/B000VCCDR0
I wonder if New York Vanilla is a reaction to French Vanilla, they wanted to make it American?
Nope, New York Vanilla existed long before the "freedom fries" silliness.
I think it might be because NY had the first ice cream parlor. Check out this article. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/33190/everything_you_didnt_know_about_vanilla.html?cat=22
let's try this again. I'm going to get funky with spacing and see if it helps.
