2 going on 14

Attila has started occasionally addressing us as "Mom" or "Dad" - I think it started when she was in a hurry to tell me something and "Mommy" just seemed too long so she just stopped at Mom. I know it's going to happen eventually, but 2 is a little young for that don't you think?

And then there was this:

"Attila, what are you doing?"
"NOTHING! I'm NOT. DOING. ANY. FING!"
*slams bedroom door*

I feel like I have a crystal ball.
Also, she gets that temper from her father you know.

I always figured that teenagers are just toddlers with hormones. I think she just proved it.

Yes, they do have flashes of teen-age-hood, don't they?! Mine occasionally calls her daddy by his first name. As in yelling outside for him. 'Cuz, you know, that's his name. And it's what I call him.

But the scene - that's hilarious.

(Now. Not in about a dozen years, but now? Vv funny!)

It's nice of her to give you these little sneak previews so you can prepare yourself.

This has happened to us too. Michael calls me "Dad" all the time now. Connie calls me "Dada" when she is in a lovey mood. It is kind of her special name for me that she came up with and pulls out when she is particularly keen on me (which is not always!).

Wow. I thought mine were feisty, but we have yet to discover the door-slamming.

Hilarious! And don't you love how you can just blame all bad traits on the other parent? Brilliant!
