I meant to do an actual post about being pregnant with baby #2, (I have big sister pics and everything!) but I kept putting it off for one reason or another and then I was so excited to proclaim that my intelligence was so vastly inferior to IKEA's that I accidentally slipped it in there. sigh. That "pregnancy brain" thing is really true. (Ask me how many times I have misplaced my keys lately!)
Also, this pregnancy is going way way faster than the first one ever did. I am sure that part of it is that I have been here before, but part of it is keeping a 2 yr old happy, fed and alive, and I just don't have the time to wistfully daydream over those week by week books. However, I do know that the baby is about the size of a foot long sub right now (those of you familiar with the fruit descriptions know what I am talking about). And that makes me hungry for a turkey sandwich, just by thinking about the word "sub". Preferably with lots of lettuce and mayo. And cheese, it must have cheese.
Anyway...
Due in early Feb (latest guess is Feb 3) and happy to report that everything is normal and baby looks perfectly healthy. I took the grandmothers to an ultrasound today and we found out that we are expecting another baby GIRL! :) Attila is thrilled that her baby is going to be a girl and she suggests the name "Suzie". (I have no idea where she got that from, but her boy name suggestion was "Bob", or lately, "Sparky", so it could be worse.) Is it bad that I still want to go and buy lots of itty bitty girly clothes even though we still have bins full of them downstairs? That's totally normal right?

Hee, I was right. I don't even know if we're going to have any more kids and I still want to buy itty bitty things. Now I have an excuse.
Hazzah! Poor Dude is going to be lonely male in the household...he will have to comiserate with the dog :)
Ah, you might not need more itty bitty girly clothes, but this TOTALLY justifies buying lots more girly clothes for Attila since, you know, you can pass them down to her little sister!
(Or at least that's what happened at our house...*grin*)
The Dude and Mr. Kluges can commiserate about being the lonely XYs in their households.
Yeah, count Pants in on that discussion.
And totally normal to want to go out and buy tons of little girly items. Isn't that how women get through the freak show that is pregnancy? By shopping?
Congrats!! What a great thing to have a sister. I wish I had one for me or for daughter.
Airlea, Big D and myself heartily recommend the name, "Crouton".
Think it over...
