High School Meme

1 Who was your best friend? Elise

2 What high school sports did you play? Soccer (until I dislocated my knee) Also fencing, to meet cute boys. Women's Epee.

3 What kind of car did you drive? A 1978 Buick Skylark station wagon. It was baby blue and had wood paneling on the side. I didn't get it until spring of my Sr. yr. Also, if you drove it faster than 55 mph, it would start to shimmy.

4 It's Friday night, where were you? Probably in Uptown. Usually spotted at Cheapo or Ragstock. If I wasn't there I was making out with my boyfriend or over at Elise's.

5 Were you a party animal? No. Seriously.

6 Were you considered a flirt? No I don't think so.

7 Were you in band, orchestra or choir? No.

7b Any other extracurriculars? Yes - theatre and yearbook staff

8 Were you a nerd? Yes, but not socially unacceptable- it was a large school, there were a lot of us.

9 Did you get suspended/expelled? No, but I got detention a few times.

10 Can you sing the fight song? I can sing the first 2-3 lines and then I can only hum the rest.

11 Who was your favorite teacher? Mr. Robb, Jan Mandell (yes, she let us call her Jan)

12 School mascot? Minutemen. Yes, I've heard all the jokes.

13 Did you go to Prom? No. I went to one prom at another school, when I was a sophomore, but never went to my own.

14 If you could go back and do it over, would you? No! That's crazy talk.

15 What do you remember most about graduation? That I had to have a signed note from my counselor that I had attended enough school days to participate. I had a slight attendance problem my Sr. year. I still have the note.

16 Where were you on senior skip day? We didn't have one, but it was always senior skip day for me. By the time I got to senior yr, I was taking some post secondary classes and I was just ready to be DONE and move on already, god. *eye roll*

17 Did you have a job your senior year? Yes, I worked as an assistant teacher at a daycare center.

18 Where did you go most often for lunch? Closed campus, so to the lunchroom or the IdS (Independent Study) Room. The IdS room was only supposed to have 2-3 students in it at a time, but of course, there were usually 10-12 of us crammed in there.

19 Have you gained weight since then? Oh yes. *sigh*

20 What did you do after graduation? Worked as a camp counselor for the summer then went to college.

21 When did you graduate? '91

22 Who was your senior prom date? Didn't have one, I was too cool for prom.

23 Are you going / did you go to your 10 year reunion? No. I thought about it, but it was the same weekend as my bachlorette party so I didn't go.

24 Who was your homeroom teacher? The gym teachers, Mr. Smalley and some white guy whose name I can't remember...
