Paint Revelation

I had a very productive day today and got three pieces of furniture polyurethaned and all the bed pieces primed and painted with the first coat. I didn't even get any paint on Attila when she got up from her nap earlier than I had hoped. It got up to 75 degrees today (in November?!?) so I really had to take advantage of that.
I have never polyurethaned anything before (which is kind of surprising) but it seems very forgiving so I have high hopes. So far so good, and really, it's just the kiddie table & chairs so not like it's an heirloom or anything.
The big girl bed is turning out really well too- A friend of mine told me that if I wanted the paint job to last and really hold up that I had to go and break into the world of expensive decorator paint. She said that way it wouldn't chip and ding and I wouldn't need to repaint in a couple of years. It cost about twice as much, but WOW I really could tell a difference right away. It went on so much smoother/easier and the first coat looks like 2 regular coats. I think it will look really nice when it's all done. I can't wait until her big girl room is all put together!

Pictures? Where are the pictures?

(If it's going to be a "bug girl bed" there DEFINITELY have to be pictures. I guess I'll forgive you no pix if it's just a regular old "big girl bed.")

(There could be ladybugs and butterflies and dragonflies painted all over it...)

no bugs ;) - but we might have to work some butterflies in there. Sorry, no "after" pics just yet.
