For the most part, I have a very easy going child. She's just always been that way. She likes a schedule, but is very flexible on when and where we do things. I can delay meals or naptime or bedtime and 99% of the time she is still happy and content. She's usually up for just about anything and is open to suggestion. I'd love to take credit for it, but really, I think it's just her personality and we totally lucked out. (also, I am sure this means that baby #2 will be the exact opposite!)
But some things, she definitely has her own mind about.
Exhibit A= Rain Cloud
Exhibit B= She thinks her sister's name will be Suzie
Her latest thing is that she asked Santa for a scooter for Christmas. A scooter. That she has no idea how to ride, but she wants a scooter. Ask her where she got this idea and she will tell you "I saw it in a magazine somewhere."
Girlfriend, you are 3! Do you have a secret subscription to Scooter Monthly or something? She has told all kinds of people that Santa IS bringing her a scooter. I know we are heavy into Santa-time right now, but she brings it up on her own at least once a day.
I happen to know that Santa didn't know she wanted a scooter until recently. Santa thought that she might like some dress- up clothes/accessories and a bin to keep them in. Santa thought that would be the perfect "big" gift and he stocked up just after Halloween. Also, Santa knows that it is snowy and cold here for months and that she won't really be able to ride a scooter until March at the very earliest. (more likely April) And yet, he's Santa, and he's supposed to bring those things that you really want the most, right?
*sigh*
She LOVES it and her reaction to seeing a scooter waiting for her on Christmas morning was completely worth it.

We got one for Pumpkin when she turned 4, just like yours but pink. Like how much more stable it is.
That is a totally awesome gift. The look on her face says it all.
