I need a weekend to recover from my weekend

Went to the zoo on Friday and there were a million people there to see the baby farm animals. Even though this is an agricultural state, and you can see 5 times as many farm animals at the state fair every year. I guess it's just been a long winter.  Last weekend the weather was still crappy, and Friday  it was finally nice enough to be out walking around the zoo.
I am claustrophobic, but crowds don't really bother me as long as they are outdoors. I only got antsy the times we were inside or had to go through a tunnel or something. The way people wander around as though they don't have a brain in their heads- Oy! Stay to the right please and for the love, don't stop in the middle of the damn path. It's really pretty easy.

Saturday we ran around and got a bunch of things done, since I didn't have to work (yay!)
got both cars serviced
went out for breakfast
got a great haircut
played with sidewalk chalk
made lemon bars (and other foods to bring for easter)
and it was warm enough for bare baby toes (well, inside at least)

Today was a little hectic but mostly nice. I think Attila is either coming down with something or she ate too much candy before 9am. Hard to tell. I dressed both girls in all white and made it through the whole day without some giant stain. My grandmother  bought the dress that Attila wore today about 3 years ago and it just now finally fits her. (we tried last year, it was still too big) It's some hand-smocked Nellie Oleson thing, but it had good spin, so she agreed to wear it. Unfortunately, I didn't get any good pictures - which is not surprising since I only took about four- so it's going to have to make another appearance.

And now tomorrow is Monday already.  It's orange day at pre-school, and  Attila doesn't have an orange dress. She has 2-3 orange shirts, but it's a crapshoot if I will be able to talk her into a shirt+ skirt. Wish me luck.

Good luck. I also recommend staying out of asia if you can't handle large numbers of people roaming around aimlessly and often in your way.

I have the same crowd issue, it is why I hate the skyway around Christmas. We were going to do the Zoo Friday, but skipped it because of that. We're going today instead.

Good luck with the skirt thing. This week is color week for us and I need to figure out what tomorrow is because we are out today. At least I can still talk her in to just about anything.

"Great haircut" by necessity means "post pix!!!" ;)

I'm also just totally impressed by the all-white and no big stains. At our house, I think Penguin had chocolate ("Chokko!!!") on her white sweater sleeves before we went to church even.

Agree with the stain issue - how did you do it? Meimei had strawberries on her sweater and both had chocolate stains about 10 minutes after we hit grandmas. Oh, and bubble soap.
