One of my new favorite songs, Dream City, (well "new" since this summer, it's really more summer music than dead of winter music) is the song of the day over at the current. If you are fast you can download and listen for free. I hope they have a whole release coming out soon.
Today went much better. Still craxy- but not nearly as bad. Luckily, Attila is used to being dragged (drug?) to rehearsals, and I'm breaking in Genghis now too. Poor things. Hope to have the steady sitter set up by next week (please keep your fingers crossed that the interviewing goes well).
Well, it seems that the Cinderella obsession is tapering off. It's being replaced by a Cars/"Lightning the Queen" obsession and I am not yet decided if that is a blessing or a curse. It all started with a small metal Lightning McQueen car that Santa put in Attila's stocking. She had seen the Cars movie before, and a few of the shorts on the mouse channel- so Santa knew she knew who Lightning McQueen was, but didn't know it would be such a knock-out hit. (So much for curbing Santa's tendency to grab all kinds of random fun things on black friday at the North Pole!) Anyway. One car led to having to get Mater (the tow truck), led to Dude buying the movie (which was on the "We don't have that? We should get that." list anyway), led to a certain girl wanting to watch Cars every.single.day. And make up Cars stories. And play Cars games. And wow, I thought reenacting the "Cinderella wakes up scene" was tiring.
