My end of the year shows are coming up in the next two weeks, so things have been a bit hectic around here. Costumes to get, props to build, last minute rehearsal CDs to record. Everything seems to happen all at once. Part of me doesn't want it to end, (plus we still have so much rehearsing to do before it's ready!) the other part of me can. not. wait.
I did find time to go to the May Day Parade this weekend though. It was a tough one this year- I had both kids by myself - which in itself isn't a biggie, and I decided at the last minute to bring Genghis, because then I could justify bringing the stroller and using it as a cart for all our stuff. But she was (and still is) in a difficult mood- I think she is getting more teeth again, and she can only say "og" and "baby" so everything else is a scream or a yell or a whine. It's tiring. It's a phase, but it's a tiring one. I thought the distractions would do her good, but I was wrong.
We got there a little late too, so we didn't have a great parade watching spot this year. What's here is all the pictures I was able to take. This is it. I was too busy kid wrangling to get any good shots. Ah well, next year. :)
There were lots of cool animal puppets this year, this owl, plus a whale, tons of tigers, some snails, and an elephant too.
Tiger. The t-shirt is actually for the South swim team, but I thought it was really funny with the tiger mask. :)
Attila was mad that I was taking pictures instead of handing out bagels.
Some urban chickens that we saw on our walk back to the car. You can tell they are urban because they are flashing gang signs. Also that one in the back has a killer tattoo. I really just took this picture for Pusher. They really didn't take up much room at all... ;)
