Sugar Free Peeps. Discuss.

This is just so very wrong.
What could possibly be the point? No one eats peeps because they taste good. People only eat peeps because they are nearly 100% sugar! (but no, you can not use them as a sugar substitute. At least, not with good results.)

Very, very, very wrong!

No. This ranks up there with fat-free mayonnaise on the food wrongness scale. I understand ingredient substitutions in the interest of health, but when a thing is that ingredient? No.

Actually, the Wog LOVES peeps. And, while he is addicted to sugar, it's actually the flavor he likes. He had my mom searching FOR EVAR trying to find the cocoa flavored peeps. She did - this year - and promptly mailed him 3 packages. He's only eaten one so far. And, he just had three fillings done. Connection?

I feel I have to weigh in, as the world's reigning Peep-eating champeen:

They're an abomination unto God.

And what's next? Sugar free pixie stix? sugar free Lic-m-aid? Where will the madness end?!?

Dear God, I think I remember the peep-as-sweetener experiment.

And sugar-free lik-m-aid? Shut your mouth!!!
