Guess what?
I locked myself out of the house today. Whoops! Attila was on the same side of the door as I was (thank goodness) so luckily it wasn't an emergency, but we did have to have Dude come rescue us. I am also thankful I had my phone with me at least. I've been told that once you are mom it's bound to happen sooner or later, even if you've never been a key forgetter before. There is just too much stuff and too many people to think about getting out the door that eventually you forget the important things- like keys to start the car.
So instead of going out on our errands, Attila and I swept the deck and pulled some weeds and waited. And when Dude pulled up out front we went to meet him and that's when it happened.

Something I've been wishing would happen for awhile now.

There was a For Sale sign in the neighbor's front yard!!!
The grouchy snowbird neighbors are (hopefully) going to sell and move away!!!

(and also, pleasepleaseplease hope that some nice, young, non-anal retentive, preferably liberal couple moves in! If that's too much to ask, then quiet people who keep to themselves is also acceptable.)

Can you believe it? It only took me 3 years of wishing. Hmmm, maybe my witchy mind control powers are getting stronger... I may have to take some safety precautions.
