Foreign countries I have visited

  1. Canada
  2. England
  3. Mexico

*yawn* The end.
What? Hey- nobody ever said these had to be long lists!

Ok, how about this? I have been to 65% of the US.
States I have been too:
  1. Alabama (AL)
  2. Arizona (AZ)- The grand canyon is indeed grand.
  3. Arkansas (AR)
  4. Colorado (CO)- I could live here.
  5. Florida (FL)
  6. Georgia (GA)
  7. Hawaii (HI)- Must go back. Could live here too.
  8. Idaho (ID)- Quirky
  9. Illinois (IL)
  10. Indiana (IN)
  11. Iowa (IA)
  12. Kansas (KS)
  13. Kentucky (KY)-Those pictures you see of Kentucky with the rolling hills and the white rail fences and the horses? All true.
  14. Michigan (MI)
  15. Minnesota (MN)- Holla
  16. Mississippi (MS)
  17. Missouri (MO)- It is so hot there! Do not visit in August.
  18. Montana (MT)
  19. Nebraska (NE)- too many times
  20. Nevada (NV)
  21. New Mexico (NM)- I love NM, I could live in Santa Fe.
  22. New York (NY)
  23. North Dakota (ND)-"Ya gotta go ta Nort Dakota, See the cattle and the wheat and the folks that can't be beat, you gotta go ta Nort Dakota and you just can't say Good bye."
  24. Ohio (OH)
  25. Oklahoma (OK)
  26. Oregon (OR) -Like MN, but with an ocean. And no mosquitoes!
  27. South Dakota (SD)
  28. Tennessee (TN)- there is no coffee in Chattanooga
  29. Utah (UT)- Love it, the park rangers here are particularly handsome. Tell them AKJ sent you.
  30. Washington (WA)
  31. Wisconsin (WI)
  32. Wyoming (WY)
I still have to get to:
  1. Alaska (AK)
  2. California (CA)- Hey, I know someone there now! They have a nice couch I could sleep on.
  3. Connecticut (CT)
  4. Delaware (DE)
  5. Louisiana (LA)
  6. Maine (ME)
  7. Maryland (MD)
  8. Massachusetts (MA)
  9. New Hampshire (NH)
  10. New Jersey (NJ) - I think I was in an airport here once, but that doesn't count.
  11. North Carolina (NC)
  12. Pennsylvania (PA)
  13. Rhode Island (RI)
  14. South Carolina (SC)
  15. Texas (TX)- Another layover in Houston, but I didn't leave the airport
  16. Vermont (VT)
  17. Virginia (VA)
  18. West Virginia (WV)
So for the most part, I just have to go farther east. Luckily, I will be able to cross a lot of these of my list when I hike the Appalachian Trail...eventually.

Yeah, I was thinking of this sort of list, too. But I'm going to be lazy and turn it into two days worth of lists - countries one day and states another.

Your state list is QUITE impressive! I loved your comments, too! "The grand canyon is indeed grand."

P.S. Sorry we didn't stay in Ireland quite long enough for you to get to add it to your list!

I happen to know a very charming host who is also a great bartender and treat maker that lives in VA. Care to visit?

That was one of the great things about my previous career,,, you know, before my career of "mommy." I traveled extensively for six years and was lucky enough to visit every state. Believe me, it's better to do on someone else's dime, there are a hell of a lot of places I would have been ticked about shelling out money for! But most of them were lovely,,, in the end I found it was mostly all about the people you met rather than the physical places.
