Some quirks I have:
- The dishwasher can only be loaded one way. If it's loaded the "wrong" way by someone else, I have to fix it.
- The covers on my bed cannot be tucked in at the foot of the bed- my feet have to be free to roam around. Sometimes, I need to stick one foot out.
- I prefer to drink pop from a can.
- Unless it is fountain Coke- then I only get the real coke, not diet. And then it needs ice. (McD's fountain coke is the best, it tastes better)
- I take pickles off of burgers- but I never order them without pickles.
- I have to have one "for pretty" towel in the kitchen that is not allowed to be used. It's nothing special, just cotton, but I like one really clean one.
- I try to evenly wear the bath towels. If we have a pair they have to be used/washed equally so there is not one dark one and one faded one. I also have towels that are not "pairs" to other people, since they are totally different colors/patterns, but they are pairs to me because I always use them together.
- I don't like the food on my plate to touch.
- With a lot of meals I will eat all of one dish before moving on to the next. For example, I will eat all of the salad, all of the steak, then all of the potato. I can't have a bite of salad and then a bite of steak and then a bite of potato, and then back to the salad. That is too much mixing. Though I've learned to break this up a little, otherwise, when people notice it makes them uncomfortable.
- If I am eating small pieces of something (chips, m&ms, that kind of thing) I switch which side I am chewing on with each bite. First bite right side, 2nd one on the left. Also, if it's small enough that I may eat 2 or 3 at a time (like m&ms) I have to eat them in even number multiples.
- When I throw the ball for our dog, it also has to be an even number of times. And I never stop at 13. (which yes, I know that is not an even number, but if I have have lost count, I will throw a few extra just so I can be sure it's not accidentally 13)
- I won't eat the heels on a loaf of bread. I usually throw it away. (or if I *have* to, then I turn the heel towards the inside of the sandwich so that I can at least pretend it's not the ass-end of the bread.)
- When I make a PB&J, the PB must be spread first, preferably on the left hand piece of bread. Then the jelly can be spread on the other piece of bread. I do not understand people who just spread the jelly right on top of the PB! It makes me a little twitchy.
- I have to get my toothbrush wet first, before putting the toothpaste on it. This primes the bristles and makes the toothpaste foamier (though I've read that the bubbles don't really do anything for you).

I'm not sure if this is "high-maintenance" or OCD. Although, everyone has their own little quirks.
It's frightening how many of those I can totally identify with.
1. I never put that much thought into my food. Wow. But, I'm the opposite on the eating all things at once. Can't do it. Have to spread the love around.
2. I will make sure you are never able to see me make a PB&J.
Wow, I don't think I could think that much while eating. I just eat - never thinking about what side of my mouth I'm chewing with. Also, I would probably drive you nuts at the dinner table. I like to mix my food, you know, a piece of chicken topped with mashed potato and then I can take a bite. Rarely do I not mix. (My mother calls it "the british" in me.)
I have a perfect bite thing I do, I always eat the food I hate the most out of my Chinese food before anything I like, and my last bite is always my favorite.
I eat m&m's by color, leaving a multiple of each color the same at the end. Its hard to explain, but its very very odd.
