These are the baby birds that were in our front bushes. They are just sparrows or something. The mama must have thought it would be a well hidden place to build a nest, she just didn't take into account the picture window that looks into the back side of the bush. We saw 2 little beaks in there, but these pictures really only show the hungry one. :)
They are all grown up and out of the nest now, but Attila sure did like getting to check on the birdies every day.

My mom has a beautiful wreath on the wall outside her front door. Every spring we find a new nest in it and baby birds hatch each year. One year she got really annoyed because of the bird poop on her wall next to her wreath and wanted to toss the nest and I freaked out! I told her for a practicing conservative Catholic she sure was too willing to kill baby birds just because of some harmless bird poop. Needless to say, she left the nest alone. Catholic guilt is a wonderful thing.
